Export
It is important to correct recognition mistakes before exporting the score to your notation editor. ScanScore shows incomplete bars with a purple line, and overcomplete ones with a light blue line. The number at the end of the bar denotes the voice you need to correct.
Green lines indicate invisibly filled elements in voice layers.
Select the bar with a double click and open the properties. There you can make the filled elements "visible" at the bottom and remove them if necessary.
Please correct all highlighted bars like this and make sure no purple or blue lines are present before exporting the score. Otherwise, the export might not be accurate.
To export, choose one of the export commands in the File Menu or the export icon in the Toolbar. Export and playback functions are limited in the trial version.
Export as PDF
Save your project as PDF file to print or to carry it digitally with you.
Export as MusicXML
Click here to export your ScanScore project as a MusicXML file. You can then specify the file location and name for your music notation file and import the MusicXML file using the music notation program of your choice. Depending on the software, the corresponding function is sometimes called "Open" and sometimes "Import".
Export as MIDI
With this option the ScanScore project can be exported as a MIDI file. The file can then be played back or imported into a DAW software. Important: The song text is lost during MIDI export.
Export as MP3
Have your project saved as an audio file that you can listen to immediately on the go.
Export to notation software
The new "Export to notation software" function allows you to transfer the score directly to the music notation software of your choice in just one click.
In Preferences, you can select your music notation program to transfer the ScanScore project via the "Export to notation software" function. You can also select the file path to your notation program.
